Fukushima(then)Now_After
Over nearly a decade, I returned to the same locations within Fukushima’s radiated zones to document the slow transformation of places marked by the 2011 nuclear disaster. By layering photographs taken years apart, each image becomes a quiet study of time, absence, and resilience—capturing how landscapes change, endure, or are forgotten.

A roadside restaurant along Route 06—once a lifeline through Tomioka, now a silent witness to time suspended. Its windows no longer flicker with life, only reflect the passing years. Slowly erased, then reentered, the space stands between abandonment and return.
