Fukushima(then)Now_After
Over nearly a decade, I returned to the same locations within Fukushima’s radiated zones to document the slow transformation of places marked by the 2011 nuclear disaster. By layering photographs taken years apart, each image becomes a quiet study of time, absence, and resilience—capturing how landscapes change, endure, or are forgotten.

Rice Fields
Once used to store radiated waste, this field has slowly been returned to cultivation. Over the years, the signs of contamination were buried, removed, or simply faded. What grows now stands on reclaimed earth—fertile, yet forever marked by what once lay beneath.
