Fukushima(then)Now_After
Over nearly a decade, I returned to the same locations within Fukushima’s radiated zones to document the slow transformation of places marked by the 2011 nuclear disaster. By layering photographs taken years apart, each image becomes a quiet study of time, absence, and resilience—capturing how landscapes change, endure, or are forgotten.

The gate once led to nowhere—its platform quiet, its waiting room emptied of purpose. Time gathered in still air and peeling paint. But step by step, function returned. Now the door stands open again, welcoming motion where once there was only pause.
