Over nearly a decade, I returned to the same locations within Fukushima’s radiated zones to document the slow transformation of places marked by the 2011 nuclear disaster. By layering photographs taken years apart, each image becomes a quiet study of time, absence, and resilience—capturing how landscapes change, endure, or are forgotten.

Electronics Shop – Naraha
At the edge of the exclusion zone, this electronics shop stood for a time — dust gathering behind its windows, silence humming where signals once buzzed. Then it vanished, cleared away without trace. Around it, the world rebuilt itself, but the memory of absence lingers beneath the surface.
